The WGA Show was held on Sunday 18 September at the Wilsden Village Hall.
The Annual Show returned to the Village Hall after a 3 year absence due to COVID. Classes had been reduced and the Show restricted to the main hall. There were 61 adult classes and 9 children’s to enter. On display we had 176 exhibits provided by 36 adults and 4 children (the latter being a little disappointing} The main trophy winners were:- Finley Laycock - Most points and best exhibit Childrens Section Edwin Paipala - Most points Flower Section and NDS silver medal Roger Golton - Most points Vegetable Section and most points in show Lucy Golton - Most points bakery and preserves and best exhibit Lesley Noble - Best miniature flower arrangement Mr Hinchcliffe - Best exhibit in handicraft The WGA would like to thank everyone who helped to get the Show up and running again especially, Wilsden in Bloom, Wilsden Library, the W.I .and the Scouts. Also not forgetting Ros Seaton and her team for keeping the tea and buns in plentiful supply.
