The WGA Show was held 22 September at the Village Hall.

WILSDEN SHOW
The Wilsden Gardening Association held the 43rd Wilsden Show  at the Village Hall on Sunday 22nd September.
With 600 exhibits on display from 50 child and 53 adult exhibitors,  visitors had the opportunity to view a colourful display  of flowers, vegetables, fruit and handicrafts.
 
Nearly every exhibitor won a monetary prize with the principal  trophy winners being:-
Children
Wilsden Parish Council Trophy and WGA medallion for most points in Childrens’ Section - Leila Robinson.
Best Exhibit and A & C King Shield – Emily Buttery
Adults
Handicraft Trophy – Sally Scott
Bakery – WGA Tray Best Exhibit – Wendy Hume
                   WGA Rose Bowl Most Points – Liz Wheildon
Vegetables –  L Heap Cup -Most Points - Brian King
                   Potato Shield – Malcolm Tordoff
                   J Johnson Cup for tomatoes – Malcolm Tordoff
Flowers – Elizabeth Guest Trophy for miniature flower
                   Arranging – Leslie Noble.
                   K Parker Rose Bowl for Single Rose
        - Maureen Pollard,
          Dahlia Trophies – Raymond Pollard, Edwin Papala,
          and Derek Lodge.
          R Alden Cup for Most Points – Derek Lodge
Shipley Hall Royd Band provided musical entertainment.  The WGA would like to thank everyone who supported this year’s successful Show.
